Facilities

Groenlandica’s collection is located at Ilimmarfik, the university campus, partly in a secured storage room and partly in a library accessible by the public. The national collection is placed in the secured storage room and an extra copy of each title is stored in a firesafe deposit room at Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia. The accessible scientific collection is integrated with the collection of the Ilisimatusarfik library. One can explore and contemplate newspapers, microfilm or rare books in study zones or in the reading room. The books in the Ilisimatusarfik collection can be borrowed by people, who are related to the university. Groenlandica’s materials are available to borrow for everyone in Greenland.

A self service automat at the library can be used for borrowing and checking borrowed books back in, and the library computers can be used freely for searching the library holdings.

Visit Groenlandica in the opening hours at Manutooq 1, 3905 Nuussuaq. The opening hours can be found at the bottom of the page.
