Learn more about what our library offers you as a patron
Did you know that our library provides books in languages other than Kalaallisut (Greenlandic) and Danish? We also offer access to online resources with books in a variety of languages.
To borrow books—both physical and digital—you need to register as a member of Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia. Registration is free of charge.
How to register as a member
To register as a member, you must present proof of address or other identification, such as a driver’s licence or passport.
The library card is free of charge and personal. You are responsible for all materials borrowed using your card. If you exceed the loan period for an item, a fee will be charged. If you lose a borrowed item or it is damaged while on loan to you, you may be required to pay compensation.
You may only have one valid library card. If you lose your card, a fee of DKK 20 may be charged for issuing a replacement. Please remember to inform us if your email address or phone number changes, or if you move to a new address.
Children:
To obtain a library card for a child, a parent or guardian must come to the library to complete and sign the registration form. The form is available at the reception desk.
Borrowing materials:
To borrow materials, you must use your library card and the PIN code you have chosen.

As a registered patron, you will have access to online resources with books and other materials in a variety of languages:

Print, copy and scan
You can print, copy and scan at Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia. You may use our computers or bring your files on a USB drive.
Printing and copying are available in greyscale or colour, in A4 and A3 formats.

You can scan documents and send them by email free of charge.
Free wifi
We offer free Wi-Fi throughout the library.
The use of mobile phones and other devices is not allowed in the childrens' section.
